I have 35 pictures to download today so it could take me days to get today done!

Today we explore!

The "Town Clown" belongs to Hope Town Inn and Marina

Check out the "Rays"

 Beautiful Hibiscus!

I can't wait to run out of beer!  The truth of the matter is,
I'm afraid I'm going to!

We took a bike ride today
This is just some of the beauty we saw

No I can't say I caught this barracuda
and I think I'm glad I didn't!
You should have seen the teeth on this guy!

I love this!  I know you do too Stacy!

The people who own this property are awful gracious
The grass is so soft and the area is so beautiful
I'm guessing they probably get a lot of people wandering around
on their property so this is their way of asking us to
be kind

This fire engine, which appears to still be in use, is just
sitting outside exposed in the weather.

Frederick, MD is only 764 nautical miles away!

Now I don't see this crossing sign very often!
Don't think there are any gators here.

 Hope Town VFC

Bob on the back of the fire truck
They still ride the tailstep here.

We found a beautiful beach while riding our bikes

Even Green Turtle Cay had a jeep as a police vehicle
I guess when you don't have any real vehicles around
a Corolla will do!

Ploppers Bush

No sign saying what type of bush this is
The pink on the outer edge is just beautiful!

We see this tree a lot....
at least now we know what it is
Frangipanni
Most of them only have leaves on them part of the year!
Otherwise they're bare.  There!

The flowers to the right are in bloom
the one in the middle is a blossom

Gary, Jayne and I are sitting at the Reef Bar
while Bob is playing in the water and trying to get the
perfect picture of us...obviously we were
not cooperating!

Gary and Jayne took a dip in the pool at the bar before we left
Bob is drying her off!

They grow the palms tall here!

Tulip family? Beautiful whatever family it belongs to!

You gotta love the colors of the houses and businesses here

Check out this hound dog!
He has one brown eye and one blue eye
***and***
his own piercing from lip to ear!
aka ~ drool!

Check out the small boat with his sails up going
through all the larger boats.

This was about 6' down in the water
We don't know what these are.

A guy actually lives on this boat!
Now this is a hoarder!
Gallons and gallons and gallons of water in one gallon jugs
lying all over the deck.

 Our sunset

Our dingy ride through the area

See the cannon!??!

 Moondoggy!

It was a great day today.  I took 160 pictures and had to decide which ones would make the blog and to try and keep it to a minimum since the internet is so slow here!

We started off with a bike ride around the north section of the island and as you can see from the pictures it was quite beautiful.  Once we finished with the bike ride we came back to the boat, changed into our swimming suits and headed to the Reef Bar in town.  They have a pool there so we were going to take advantage of it.  Gary & Jayne decided to jump in right as we were leaving!
Gotta love the spur of the moment adventures!

After swimming and bar hopping we decided to go on a dinghy Happy Hour ride.
There was so much to see and we tried to see it all!

I have to say, the Bahamians make it very hard to spend money here!  They have a bank here in Hope Town but it's only open on Tuesdays; there are no ATM machines here but at least some of the places will take credit cards which is more than most of the other places have done in the last couple of weeks.  The only place we can get cash (unless we are here on Tuesday) is in Marsh Harbor so it looks like we will be heading back there soon.  The worst part is....I forgot to notify my bank before I left and so now my card has been canceled due to "suspicious activity" so I sent them an email asking them to please reactivate it without making me call them.  I told them it would cost me a dollar a minute to make a call so I gave them my phone number and told them to call me,  We'll see what happens with that!
