Palm Beach this morning!
Bob is cutting the stainless steel so he
can add our Internet Booster
Looking at the inside of our boat today
Navigation area
 Galley
Dirty dishes
TV and bed laying across our salon table!
Our bedroom where the escape hatch is
Our bedroom wall is missing
The other side of our bedroom where we are supposed
to sleep tonight!!

Today was another work day as you can tell.  We literally trashed our boat trying to run wires!  We destroyed the cable that we needed to run down the stainless steel pole to connect our internet booster.  So tomorrow I'm going to Radio Shack (hopefully) to buy some more and hoping what I buy will work.  I don't know if we have enough time to order another once from the company!
We didn't get anything completed but we did get a lot done.  All the wiring is done now all we have to do is buy a few last things to make everything work.  Bob worked so hard today he rewarded himself by installing a blue light in the cockpit!  He has been dreaming of this day for 2 years now! I have to admit it looks pretty good! By the end of the night the place was all clean again and my bed was ready for me to drop in!

This is our wonderful son-n-law, Jon
We gave Jon this hat for Christmas a couple
of years ago, yesterday he wore it due to temperature issues!
Doesn't he look warm and handsome!

Looks like Bob is getting serious today!

He's installing his Humminbird Fishfinder finally!

Our sunset

Another shot of sunset

Bob is still working!

Today was a great work day.  Bob installed his Fishfinder and also installed his VHF radio outside along with a speaker!  I tell you he was amazing today AND without any curse words, now that was amazing!
I did something today but not sure what it was.  I helped Bob out with his wiring whenever needed, gave away a lot of 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 jars of liquor to Jayne & Gary (we cleaned out our liquor cabinet) :0); extended my internet (again) to the 18th of this month; tried bringing up Winlink (again); ordered another ice machine (ours took a crap yesterday); watched a couple of boats move down closer to the in/outlet of where we will be leaving from (including Sid & Michelle); and I'm sure the list goes on, but I'm done!
Tomorrow Bob and I are supposed to put in our Internet Booster, run the TV cable to the other TV in the bedroom and run and hide the solar panel line.  Here's to hoping for another curse-free day!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

I'm making Green Bean casserole & Sweet Potato's
for dinner today

Bob & I brought center pieces over for the tables
Didn't Bob do a great job with them!

The "Palm Beach wanna be Gulf Cruisers"
enjoying a little chit chat before dinner!

Meet Snookum's (not real name/will fix later)
She belongs to Michelle & Sid

Our sunset!

What a great day today was!  I started off with the parade on TV and began my beans and sweet potato's for the festivities. I even did a little fishing!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings and it was delicious!  Bob even ran some wire today for a project he hopes to complete one day :0)  I even took time to color my hair and I actually like it!

Here's to everyone having a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with family and friends and a hellova BLACK Friday for those of you who enjoy this madness day.  Personally that would normally be my day of rest, but tomorrow both Bob and I hope to get some projects done!

Today is my birthday and the blog is pretty
much about me today :0)
Bob went to Publix and bought us cheese sticks
and chicken pockets for lunch...yum!

He bought me these beautiful flowers also
and I woke up to a beautiful card with my coffee!

Gary and I walked over to West Marine today while
Bob was doing his running around, and Jayne was shopping
for my birthday dinner and Thanksgiving tomorrow!
I caught my first fish!  Wouldn't you know it
was a catfish!  But it's all in the sport!

Gary & Jayne played "I hear it's your birthday" loud
for the whole mooring field to hear and him and Bob
are playing their make believe instruments along with it!

As you can tell, Bob is on the piano!

Now it's time to cook up dinner!

Let's not forget the end of sunset!

Wala!  Just what I asked for! Nacho's! and there was
a homemade coconut cream pie (another special request)
that I/we forgot to take a picture of and can't now because
it is all gone! Along with the margarita's!!

Today was a great day.  We pretty much went our separate ways and did our shopping.  Jayne was in seventh heaven shopping without Gary; I was with Gary in seventh heaven buying my free fishing license (another story as soon as I figure out the free part), and Bob was tootling around on his bike going all over the place...i.e. Post Office (again) to pick up the book we left at Gordon's.  The Post Office has looked for it 3 times and can't find it so they gave us a form to fill out to cover the insurance!  Boo!  So Bob went to West Marine and bought the book again!  Then he went to Office Depot, Publix, Liquor Store and the list goes on.  But in the end we all made it back to the boats for a little leisure time. That's when I caught two catfish, and another fish which was a good eater but he's the one that got away!

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!!!

I think this is the first blog I've posted without any pictures!  The weather was pretty nasty today.  The water was very rough and the winds were a howling!  Our generator took a "crap" on us a few days ago so we've been trying to work with this company about picking it up and delivering it back to us once it was fixed.  That's how they advertise anyway.  We sent them 2 emails, called them and left a message, called again and spoke with the receptionists who said someone had to call us back which they never did.....so we finally gave!  We found someone else who could work on it, pick it up, and deliver it back to us once it was done.  Only "minor issue" is that we probably won't get it back until Monday, if we are lucky.  Here's hoping to no weather window at least till then!  Anyway, it was quite the chore getting the genny in the dinghy while it was rockin' & rollin' out there but we finally did.  Bob was going to go to the PO again but it was just toooo rough to try and get the bike on the dinghy also, so we are going to wait until tomorrow to do that chore.

Well we've been sitting here for a week waiting for our "window of opportunity" and it hasn't come yet.  We are both starting to get antsy and want to move on.  Now we are wondering how long we are willing to wait before we decide to do something else?  It's probably going to be at least another week before our "window opens" which is ok, it's time after that that may become an issue.  Right now we have to stay until Monday anyway so we can get our genny back, and we both plan on working on the boat Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so that helps.  Let's hope next Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday will be our crossing, otherwise, we may have to make other plans!

Thursday is "Turkey Day" and we are having dinner over at Dream Catcher's along with Pam and Andy from the other night.  Not sure about Sid and Michelle yet?  I'm actually making homemade sweet potato's for the festivities....I don't even like sweet potato's that much!

 Not Again!!
Who needs a fishing license when they come to me for free!
A different view of the ICW....
normally we are going under the bridges instead of
walking over top of them!
This is at the "Gardens" mall
I had a package mailed here thinking it was a regular PO
Come to find out - this PO only sends packages out, they
do not receive any!  For whatever reason though, the mailman decided
to leave my package at the office thinking I may come for it
and I did!  Whew!
 I tried, I really did
But I just couldn't make it up the hill
on the bridge on my bike!
This guy was waiting for us when we got back to our dinghy!
Check out the teeth on this thing!

This morning I cleaned the grill! which I swore I would never do on the boat again! but didn't have much of a choice.  It actually went a lot better than I thought!  Not near the mess it was the last time! Still need to caulk ~ hope to get it done in the next few days!

After a little cleaning, Bob and I took a bike ride to the PO to pick up a couple of packages.  Of course we didn't think to bring the "tracking number" so of course they couldn't find our packages.  Part of the problem was me, I used a different PO address than Bob did and we didn't realize it until we were questioned by the woman as to what address we mailed the packages to.  I knew as soon as she said the address there, my package wasn't going to be there! So after waiting an hour in 2 different lines we left with nothing again!  In meantime, we went to the address where I had my package shipped to (Gardens mall) and miraculously it was there!

After doing all our biking around there we came back to the Publix and did a little grocery shopping for tonight.  Salmon on the grill!  Yum!

I finally caught a fish!
Even if he had to jump in the boat on his own
for me to get him!!!!

Today was another decent work day on the boat.  Bob ran some more wire for "something else" he needs to install with my help of course.  When  you live on a boat you need to be young and a contortionist to be able to get into some of the places you need to be.  That's where my help comes in at!  He delves deep into the holds, and I stand there and guide wire to him.  Works for me!  My project today was cleaning the grill....I hate that job!  But our burner was only lighting halfway so I had to clean it with the hopes of it working!  Besides it really, really needed it!  After that I decided it was time to re-caulk the sink.  I took all the caulk out and cleaned it and now I'm waiting for it to dry. Hopefully tomorrow it will look amazing?!!?!
Jayne & Gary had us over for dinner tonight.  It's quite amazing the dishes that Jayne can come up with!  We had chicken teriyaki over rice and it was very tasty!  Thank you Jayne!
The winds have been screaming through the mooring field for the last 24 hours.  We talked to a few people yesterday from home and it sounds like the winds are bad there also.  Here's to low southerly winds to all of us!!

A great start to a new day! Nothing like mornin' joe in a lap-lap.

Guess what I've been doing today :0)

 Covers for the diesel/gas cans!

Even the small ones that sit on the end of the larger ones!

 Me too!   Me too!

Now guess what Bob has been doing today!
(he has too much crap)

 Floors are pulled up!

All this for a couple of little wires!!!

 Our sunset

Sunset over....back to work for Bob! (Nice lookin' legs huh!!)

He did it!  We now have a "emergency bilge pump w/siren" on the
starboard side of the boat too!

Kind of a work day although we really didn't want to work as it was so beautiful.  Sunny, 10 knots of blow, and pretty flat.  But I got 3 fuel cans covered with protective canvas and Bob got the emergency bilge pump for the starboard side in.  With a siren for when it goes off.  Storymaker doesn't leak water in so if the siren goes off we're taking on water in a really bad way!

Bob and Gary looked at the weather and it looks like we could be sitting in the Palm Beach area well after Bird Day. We have to wait for 2-3 days of either calm winds or winds out of the south up to 20 knots.  We can't leave with wind anywhere with a northerly component.  The Gulf Stream is moving north about 3 knots or so.  If the wind blows out of the north, it works against the Gulf Stream and creates large and confused seas (wind and current going the opposite direction).  It makes for a rough and can be dangerous if the wind really blows.  Andy and Pam from the other night waited weeks last year, got tired of waiting, and just went to the Keys.  There are now about 30 boats here in North Palm Beach waiting for this "weather window."  This is our 40th day since we left Maryland.  We'll wait as long as we can.  It's much easier to wait when the temperature is 80 degrees as it was today.

So, we may not be able to give too much warning about our departure.  If we don't post for 2 or 3 days you'll know we're on our way to the Bahamas.  We'll try to post, if we can, while we're there.  We will return to South Beach, Miami on/around February 1st.

They are headed for the Exumas
Funny story behind his expression...remind me to
tell it when we get back!

Our sunset!

Another great day in warm Lake Worth, FL.  I worked on WinLink today for a couple of hours and finally walked away from it.  I'm gonna have to find someone "a lot more computer/software savvy" than me if I think this is going to happen!

I'd like to say Bob is kicking butt around here getting stuff done on our down time...and he is....he's not taking naps everyday anymore so that's a big "kick in the butt!"  Today may be his big day....we are talking about him running wire from one end of the boat to the other so that should produce a lot of curse words....that's how I know he's really working! :0)

We've been watching the weather hourly it seems and we are just not seeing our window of opportunity!  All the boats sitting here in our mooring field are all waiting on the same thing....crossing the Gulf Stream.....and doing it safely! Right now, December 5th, is the first day that looks decent.  Once again! we are depending on the weather man to be wrong again!  It's hard just sitting here and waiting.
