Leaving this morning, Savannah, GA

 Mini Mansion
Right on the ICW

Isle of Hope Marina
Savannah, Georgia

Captain Bob out in the blow

around skinny water

We led today.  Gary & Jayne behind us.  We both
passed a 30 foot Maine Cat.  We're all flying
jibs for the day.

That's right Brad - I'm still doing this daily!!

 Rough!
Luckily the wind was out of the North-Northeast.
We were going south...we would not have gone
out if we were going into waves like these.
The current was running North and with opposing
wind and waves, "rage" takes place causing short
chop.

Then we got some current from the North!
Bob took this photo of our top speed for the day.
10.3 knots = 11.3 mph!

We have wild and crazy seas for 3 total hours.
The Atlantic Ocean is in the background.

These seagulls are loving the new fishing lure!
Hopefully the fish will!

Our anchorage spot for the night
We are about 30 miles south of Savannah
out in the middle of nowhere!

Oh NO!  Bob had his other bunny half sitting on the
seat next to him, and when he stood up, the wind
took the other half and he went flying into the water
Hopefully he swam ashore and started a new family!

Way too cold and windy to be outside for Happy Hour
So we made our own Happy Hour spot right here
in front of the sliding glass door looking outside....

At the Peeper!  Peeper!

The end of the night colors!
You're looking at the rear end of a Weiner Dog
running down the horizon (well, that's what Bob
thinks).

The seas were confused and angry today.  Sustained winds of 30-35 knots, top gust to 42 knots (46 mph).  Luckily, the wind was coming from the North the whole day so we had following seas.  We picked up some great current and spent most of the day running 8-9 knots, which meant we were running with 1-2 knots of current with us.

Bob put down one of his gloves next to him at the helm seat to adjust the chartplotter.  When he stood up the wind just blew it off the boat.  We were just at an inlet at the Atlantic Ocean with the jib up.  It would have been pretty difficult to drop the jib, and turn into the waves and winds so we let it go.  Jenny gave Bob the gloves for Christmas and now is wearing unmatched gloves (hint, Jenny).

It just blew all day and tired us out.  We made anchor off Sapelo Island, GA south of Savannah.  There are few trees here and the wind was still making us dance around the anchor.  We stayed in (too rough for us to put in the dinghies to visit or explore), had a few beers, and watched the sunset from inside.
