It's a traffic jam out here!
Everyone is headed
for their inlet for the crossing of the gulf!
I've never seen a boat like this...
so different I had to take pictures
of it coming and going!

Our mooring field in Lake Worth
Billions of dollars$$$$$$
Storymaker sitting there patiently
waiting for her next journey
Gary & Bob mapping out their next journey
Every night they become "thinkers"
Our sunset
We made it to Fort Worth without getting rained on ~ yeah! We stayed "one" step ahead of it all afternoon. The morning was full of sunshine and warmth and just beautiful; the afternoon was starting to cloud up and we could see the rain coming but managed to stay one step ahead of it. We dropped anchor about a half hour before the rain, but as it turned out, it wasn't much anyway!
We actually got yelled at over the VHF radio this morning on channel 16. We were leaving Vero's mooring field and I guess we were going a little too fast for one of the locals. I can't imagine "safety Bob" being wild and crazy in a mooring field but it happened....all of a sudden on channel 16 we heard "Hey catamaran slow down there are manatees in here!" I looked around and we were the only cat in the area at the time (Gary was still playing with his ball) that was moving, so we slowed down even more!
We have to thank one of our friends for taking care of his idiot friends Bob & Lynn! When we visited with Gordon & Debbie we ended up leaving our Abacos book behind and they were kind enough to ship it priority mail to us here in Lake Worth, so tomorrow, we will be bikin' to pick it up! Thanks again Gordon & Debbie!
I have to admit I'm starting to get a little nervous. We are getting ready to make our trek across the gulf (which I'm OK with) it's the turning off of the internet and phone that's really freaking me out. Both my phone and internet get turned off on November 22nd. Bob's phone will still be available until we start heading across the gulf stream, however, internet is another story! Let's hope my internet booster works! and I figure out how to download the program I need to use my single
side band! So tomorrow is going to be a big, big work day for both Bob and I. (Are you available by any chance Randy??!!! I could sure use your help about right now!)
In meantime, we are enjoying life to the fullest and eager to be in the Bahamas!
what a beautiful sunset picture...the exciting part of the trip is about to begin I'm anxious to see how it goes!
ReplyDeleteWe're excited also! We just hope it's soon!
