Veteran's Day!!
Party dockhouse
This is one of the few places where a road runs next to the ICW.
The ICW generally has only single family homes (rich guys),
condos in the cities, and wide open nature preserves or parks.
A gift from Connie and Tommy we opened this morning.
These guys are really scared of mosquitos.
Old ship - someone lives on her.
Still trying to see one!
Oh Look! It is a Manatee Zone!!
Manatee's & Dolphin's all over the place!
Overall, one of the prettiest bridges we have gone through!
In central Daytona.
Last year we stayed here for 4 days with Gordon & Debbie
This year we drop anchor across from the condo they were living in
They lived in the 2nd group of condo's and moved about a
month after we saw them. We are seeing them again tomorrow
in their new home in Smyrna Beach.
A tug pushing a tug!
Our sunset peeper!

Veterans!
Today was another great day of sailing. The temps were around 80 and the water was relatively calm, in fact, very calm! We put the jib up but then it just luffed around and we had to take it down.
It was a very relaxing ride for Bob as we were following Gary and Jayne and the water, although at low tide all day, was deep enough not for him to worry. We dropped the hook in central Daytona, napped, and then went over to Gary and Jayne's for a special "Veteran's Day" dinner for Gary (Army - served in Vietnam) and I (Navy - Gitmo & Naples, Italy), Jayne cooked BEEF, potatoes, beans, and brownies! Superb!

Thank you for serving our country!
ReplyDeleteIt was my pleasure! I enjoyed the time I spent in the Navy. It was definitely a valuable learning and growing up process! Wouldn't change anything about my time in!
