 We came into New Bern to check it out

 Remember Jack?  He used to have a slip at Riverwatch Marina.

He moved back home towards the end of September last year

This is his home and we happened to be here so we gave him a call

and he met us for a drink.  It was great seeing him !

This is Jack's boat and he had the name put on it just

prior to leaving last year.  He wanted to surprise Emma (his wife)

with it.

Today was a great day.  It poured rain all day but Derek & Shelley were here so it didn't matter.  Just meant better bonding time!  

We did finally go out once there was a break in the rain.  Luckily we had the break because as we were pulling out of the parking lot we realized we had a flat tire.  Once the tire was changed we were on our way again.  We decided to go to New Bern to check the town out since there wasn't much here in Oriental to do.  

While driving through town we decided to give Jack a call; we knew he lived here somewhere.  That was quite a surprise for all of us. He was working and said he would get a hold of us when he was finished  so we could meet somewhere.  We were hoping that Emma was going to meet us out once she got off of work but she wasn't able to.  

We left and went to the Silo for pizza.  It was quite the day for eating and drinking.  We definitely went to bed with full bellies!
