Well, I finally made a cover for Bob's Humminbird Depth Finder
The one to the left with the Toucan (Fruit-loops Bird :0))
It only took me all day, and I do have to make another one,
but at least it was a great learning experience...the next one should
hopefully be a breeze, once I get all the right materials!
Now the Chart Plotter on the other hand....what a disaster....
I had to use the old material and of course there wasn't enough so
that is definitely another project, but it too, was a learning experience and
should be a lot easier the second, third, fourth time around....not sure
how many times around I will have to make it to my liking!

My sunset tonight (Bob's not here yet....soon though!)

Today was quite the learning experience day for me.  I haven't sewn for years, but it's kind of like riding a bicycle, once you learn it you get right back on and start again!  Problem is, this time I'm trying to sew things I didn't sew in the past.  Sewing canvas vs. everyday cloth material is two totally different things, but!, I did learn a lot and I know what I have to do to make it work!  So that's good!  It looks like Sailrite and I are going to become good friends!

Bob had quite the party last night once he got to Charlotte, NC.  He checked into his room early and took 2 showers and a nice long, long, bath!   He then flipped through the thousands of channels the hotel had on the TV and still wasn't able to find anything he was interested in, so he sat around and read the paper for a bit and ended up in bed at 8:30.  Now that's a party!  I on the other hand had my own party.  I took a nap after he left, found a channel on TV (This) that showed only movies, and watched them until 2:30 in the morning.  I could have watched the next one but I knew I had to get to bed because I wanted to get up and do something productive before Bob got home.  Now that was a down day!

So as you can see, I had quite the day today.  Literally, that was all I did all day long, sew, sew, and sew.  Well I did clean my sewing machine first before I started sewing, and sewing, and sewing!  I didn't take time to drink my coffee, eat breakfast, or lunch, just sewed, and ripped out what I sewed, and sewed more.....and ripped out more!

I finally finished around 4 p.m. and decided to lay down and take a nap.  My eyes were very tired from threading needles, and tearing out thread without tearing my material.  I finally lay down and I hear this knocking noise, quite irritating actually, so I had to get up and find out what it was.  I knew it was outside so it shouldn't be too hard to find.  I look, and look, and look, and I finally notice the rope to the dinghy banging against the side of the boat, so wa-la, I find the problem.  It doesn't dawn on me I don't see the dinghy though!  I finally came to realize the dinghy wasn't there and now I'm panicking....where's my dinghy!  I did come to realize the dinghy was still attached to the line that was banging against Storymaker, only it wasn't the line that was banging, it was the dinghy.  Somehow or another, it managed to go under Storymaker and was hiding there.  That's the first time this has happened.  So I pulled her out and tied her up on the other side of the steps so she couldn't do that again and I took my much needed nap!

Bob got home around 8:30 and we just gabbed for a couple of hours, while watching Dateline (not so sure the guy was guilty, but whatever), and then off to la-la land again.  Good night!
