Naval ship, and Security Boat
outside of St. Augustine

And a couple of more along the way!!!!

Beautiful homes along the ICW

I'm still trying to catch that fish!!!

 Schooner Freedom
St. Augustine's Premier Tall Ship.
This 72 foot Schooner Freedom is a replica 19th century blockade-runner. She sails three times daily from historic downtown St. Augustine at the City Municipal Marina, South of the Bridge of Lions. Take a step back in time and experience the adventure and romance of sailing the waters adjacent to the oldest city in the nation.

St. Augustine is a city in Northeast Florida and the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement and port in the continental United States.

Coming into St. Augustine

St. Augustine

Gary and Freedom coming up behind us

Very busy here!

cannonball jellyfish | Stomolophus meleagris
Cannonball Jellyfish (aka Cabbagehead)

This place is littered with these Cannonballs!

The Bridge of Lions is now opening
for those of us that have been waiting for entry!

Gary went ahead of us...look to the left....

The Pirate Ship was doing a cruise and
waiting on the other side to go out!

Freedom with her sails down

Our mooring field

The winds finally died down and it was a nice trip down to St. Augustine, a run of 62 miles from Fernandina Beach.  I tried to fish but no fish.  Plenty of dolphin feeding though.

We got to the mooring field and it was sunny and hot!  80 degrees.  We poured a cold one and relaxed, then went to the Marina office to pay ($21.50/night) for the ball.  We stopped by Gary and Jayne's then hit the sack.

  1. Laundry facilities, bathroom with plenty of hot water, dinghy parking, free wifi, bicycle parking, trash disposal including oil. It's definitely worth the money!
