The beautiful sky this morning as we were pulling anchor!
We are headed to the inlet where we are leaving in the morning!
Finally happening!
The height of our mast is 62'
The water is 62.2 feet
Our antenna (very flexible) at the very top
scraped the bottom of the bridge!
When Gary came through a smaller boat came
under the bridge the same time Gary was there and they
had to yell at them to slow down!
Peanut Island
Remember this house from last year!
It's still here! I'm surprised the rich people around
here allow it!
Our outlet for tomorrow
A million dollar boat that was just refurbished
was being brought back with 6 Captains on board
and they managed to run the boat into the dock head on!
They did $130,000 worth of damage and none of them
wanted to admit it was their fault. The owner came
down, saw the damage, was highly upset, said fix it!
I'm going back to Alabama! Call me when it's done!
They said the owner was defeated! He had waited so long
for this moment, just retiring, and getting ready to start
cruising! How sad :0(
$130,000!!!!! worth of damage!!!!
Filling up with water!
Our anchorage tonight
Today was a good day. We moved this morning and as soon as we got here Bob jumped on the bike and went into town for a few last minute things. I started preparing the boat for the crossing. We made all our last minute phones calls or at least as many as we could, we finally couldn't talk anymore! We leave in a.m. around 6. Hoping to be able to blog often! Enjoy your Holidays and we will be back on-line before you know it!
