We pulled anchor at 9 a.m. this morning
and started for Walker’s Cay (pronounced as Key) for check in. The water was so flat and smooth today, it
was just breathtaking! So in saying
this, guess what we did today after 2 years of owning this boat?!?!! That’s right, we put the sails up! Now I understand why everyone kept telling me
I needed to get the sails up, and just sail without the engines on. I couldn’t believe the tranquility of it all! I fought Bob the whole time he kept telling
me we had to put them down. We have both
decided we would be doing that again ~ VERY SOON!
Bob was lucky enough to see 6 dolphins
today! I was down in the head watering
my Christmas tree so I missed it. I also
missed the beautiful island of Walker’s Cay.
As you can see in the pictures there wasn’t much there, but the island
itself was just beautiful! Once the boys
got back from checking us in, we had happy hour and burgers on the grill.
Tomorrow we are headed for Grand
Cay. It is pretty populated from what we
can see on the map and from what we are reading about, so once we arrive Bob is
going to hook up the internet booster and we are keeping our fingers crossed
for a signal! I’m also sending the boys
out on the dinghy to go lobster diving and hoping they come back with
some. My plans are to have lobster and
champagne for dinner tomorrow! And maybe one piece of chicken for Jayne…she’s
not a seafood fan at all! Hopefully my
plan works!!
