Last night as we pulled into our anchorage area and was getting ready to drop our anchor, Bob kept yelling “What’s going on here?!” I asked him what was wrong and he said he couldn’t get the boat in reverse.  Well come to find out – the screw inside the shifter on the port gear had come off so that was keeping us from getting it into gear.  Luckily it was an easy enough fix.  Then this morning we get up to leave and somehow (from our playing with the forward/reverse shifter) our anchor was tangled up in the chain, so we had to drop the dinghy back in the water and untangle it!

When we were finally on our way, we left with the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen I believe!  While sailing the ocean we put the jib up but not the main sail.  It was a little too rough to mess with that especially knowing we’ve done it before!  Around 2 p.m. we hit the Bahamas waters.  We kept going until 4 p.m. and dropped anchor in 16’ of water with NO land in sight!  First time we’ve never had land in sight!  As soon as we dropped anchor both Bob and I jumped in the water.  He did some snorkeling and I washed my hair in the salt water.  It was so nice and clean and soft once it was dry!  That’s right Mo, I was thinking about you when I did it, I know how much you love washing your hair in the salt water!  After our play time in the water we sat and watched the sun set with a cocktail, came in and ate something and was in bed by 9 p.m.
